Unfortunately, I don't have much of a back story other than what's already mentioned in the video. Looks pretty damned impressive!
Leather jacket and perfectly coiffed hair, not included.

Tenacious D, what a classy program to be watching whilst driving.

The car is great but he needs to loose the facial hair, get a perm, a black leather jacket and start talking to his watch.

Is it so hard to remove the GoPro cameras while you're trying to make a little documentary about your car?

Wow. I remember reading somewhere that William Daniels (Voice of KITT) might lend his voice to Garmin navigation. That would make that car over the top!!!
![]() 08/15/2013 at 14:32 |

Question.
If somebody were to kidnap Mr. Feeny... I mean... William Daniels ... and make him voice a KITT replica... would that make it a real KITT?
I ask... for a friend... yeah, that's the ticket...

He needs to shoot his sound editor. Turn off the damned exhaust noise.

At 0:54 you can see that he is wearing an AM Radio watch circa 1985. He's all in.

1:06 - Doc Brown stalking KITT?

1:06 - Doc Brown is interested...

Nice to see KITT with a proper transmission.

Just kidding, guys :)

I'm all giggles.

Is it just a coincidence that there's a Delorean in a driveway @ 2:13 and 3:15, or is that his too?
![]() 08/15/2013 at 14:57 |

The Hoff is all about thumbs up and pointing at stuff.
![]() 08/15/2013 at 14:57 |

Awesome car - I would drive that thing everywhere.
Also I couldn't help but notice the DeLorean in the background at 3:16

Kitt kit, huh. I've searched the internets for this add to cart item.
![]() 08/15/2013 at 15:00 |

Knight replicas are nothing new. They've been around for nearly two decades now, hell there's a place in Florida that can make the parts for you. Marks custom kits.

That's awesome.
For his next project, he needs to add the capability to "boost" off of poorly-concealed ramps.

Man builds KITT replica, puts on cheap shitty Fuzion tires.
![]() 08/15/2013 at 15:27 |

He even rocks the Knight Rider watch...

Dude, 4 Fuzion tires for $100? Too good of a deal NOT to pass up!

When you're building a movie car on a budget... I mean, what's next, a used dash off eBay?
![]() 08/15/2013 at 15:37 |
|
The guy even has the communicator watch. As seen at 0:54.
![]() 08/15/2013 at 15:46 |
|
So he made a Kit(t) car :D
![]() 08/15/2013 at 15:50 |
|
1- The dash didn't seem to be 100% operational
2- What the hell was he watching with the flying Sasquatches on the monitor?
3- +40 points for having a comm-link watch
4- The sound of the car was fantastic, but he should make the "jet engine" sound come out of some loud speakers for authenticity
Anyway, if you have too much money, this guy will build you a KITT replica with a lot of working electronics:

The Hoff is more than that, good sir!
He is also about the singing.
![]() 08/15/2013 at 16:27 |

You sir...have built one of my favorite screen cars ever. And it's a stick! I was going to hate that you built in a gta but you stayed period correct with the from and fenders so you get my respect.
Looks great and the old school mi plate had me looking twice.
Well done!

What's with the NON-Knight Rider theme song music at the end? How was that NOT the obvious choice?
![]() 08/15/2013 at 17:20 |

It's a MANUAL! If there was anything to change on that car, that was it.

Yes! Might want to reach out to Raphael Orlove or Travis Okulski, as they are large and somewhat in charge of this site.

After watching this once, the horrible free music is too bad to listen to. So the next play I just muted it and played the knight rider theme over it and it worked really well for me.

That steering wheel looks awkward to drive with in real life. I wonder how you handle emergency maneuvers. It also looks kinda uncomfortable to drive, like the wheel is too close to his legs and the shifter is tucked under the dash. Ive also spent the past three decades thinking the thing that visualizes kitts voice was on the front of the center console, not in front of the driver. Im not sure how I feel about that.

Great memory.

Looks awesome even today. What he needs now is a 1000HP engine. Those Firebirds are some of the lowest drag coefficient cars ever made (hence their popularity at the salt flats) with the right HP he can "walk the walk".

Nice replica...a lot of attention to detail. I saw a video of some dude in Germany who went even further by utilizing all those buttons in the car. Most replica KITT's have dummy switches, but he incorporated them into many functions of the interior..and he even MADE IT TALK! The thing would say "I'm the knight industries two thousand, kitt for short" and other lines from the show if you pressed certain buttons. I think Joey Fatone has one of them.

I've seen this car in person a few times and it's a REALLY nice job! I was really impressed by the work put into this thing. the only thing I think would be a pain is that it's a manual since the shifter is buried far away with modules around it and such.

At 1:23 he's watching Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny. haha! NICE!!
Awesome ride. Would have went with an LS motor. but sounds great! Don't know how he lives with that steering wheel..

Although holding the Pick of Destiny makes you a rock god, driving Kitt, clearly, does not make you Michael Knight.
